Nine years ago iHeartMedia launched what is still the largest public service campaign in our history – iHeartRadio Show Your Stripes – to address the national veteran unemployment crisis. So many of our service people were returning from overseas with marketable skills and abilities – but they didn’t know how to reach potential employers, and those employers didn’t know how to find them.

We launched iHeartRadio Show Your Stripes to highlight the skills brought back by returning servicepeople and their value to employers in the workplace – and help guide veterans back into civilian life – through the creation of a centralized, easy to use online destination that connected veterans and businesses. The program was widely promoted and helped connect over 200,000 veterans with potential job offerings.

We are now committed to evolving our platform in line with the changing needs of our veterans, and this year we’re realigning iHeartRadio Show Your Stripes with some of the most pressing issues facing veterans today, including a focus on wellness— from health and emotional wellness to environmental, financial, intellectual, occupational, physical, social and spiritual wellness.

Our mission is to create a more supportive world for veterans returning home, and to connect veterans and their families with the communities, businesses, resources, programs and nonprofits that can support their different wellness needs.
